Girl Scouts in Northern New Jersey are going for the Gold!
GSNNJ would like to congratulate all the girls who earned their Girl Scout Gold Award!

The Girl Scout Gold Award requires the completion of an ambitious leadership training program, including earning three Interest Project awards, logging 30 leadership development hours and 40 career exploration hours, and developing a leadership project plan that is approved by the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey Gold Award Review Volunteer Committee. The award culminates in the execution of the 65-hour leadership project that each girl has planned.
Leadership projects can have a wide range of topics that affect the community. Lindsay Braverman of Glen Rock hosted a Homeless Awareness Night. Admission to the concert and performances was two canned goods which were donated to the Center for Food Action in Hackensack. Melina Ragnetti of Sparta worked with Happiness is Camping, a free summer camp for children with cancer. She worked with the children as well as helped build and organize their craft cabin. Lauryn Resotka of Long Valley organized a Healthy Relationships Workshop for teen girls, teaching them how to recognize unhealthy relationships and friendships.

Congratulations to all girls who earned their Girl Scout Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award! Your hard work is making a great impact on your communities!
