Title: Take Action Project (Journey: Girl Topia)

I think the most important thing about being a Girl Scout is to share our knowledge with our community. Like the Girl Scout Law states, "We must do our best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful..." you know the rest. As Girl Scouts, it is our job to lead by example and hope that others will follow. For my take action project for the "Girl Topia" Girl Scout Journey, I educated sixth and fifth graders on bullying because ignorance is the greatest cause of immoral actions. I believe some people don't even realize they are doing it, and others don't realize how much bullying can affect an individual. Knowledge is the greatest power there is and it felt good to watch sixth and fifth graders staring at my laptop screen as they watched my presentation in awe. If I could impact them with my words then I have passed down my knowledge to them and maybe they will understand, and maybe they won't bully. I can only hope that I have made a difference.

Title: Senior Girl Scout

I am new to Girls Scouts! I joined the program last year. It has been an amazing experience so far and I regret not being part of this wonderful program earlier. This year I am on a mission to complete two Girl Scout Journeys and so far have completed "Sow What?" and am enroute to complete "Mission: Sisterhood." It has been great and I cannot wait to start my Girl Scout Gold Award project next year. I have such great help from all my troop leaders, community Girl Scout leaders and fellow Girl Scouts. My decision to join Girl Scouts will no doubt positively change my future. I am also looking forward to our Savannah, Georgia trip in November.
