On July 31, 2013 GSNNJ hosted an Alumnae Association event at Lake Rickabear Summer Day Camp in Kinnelon. Guests enjoyed a tour of the property and heard from some girls about their experiences at summer camp. It was another priceless opportunity for alumnae to see one of GSNNJ's amazing outdoor properties and get to know one another.

On July 24, 2013 GSNNJ hosted an inspiring Alumnae Association event at Jockey Hollow Camp in Mendham. Guests enjoyed a tour of the property and then heard from some girls about their experiences at summer camp. It was a great opportunity for alumnae to see our beautiful property and get to know one another.

On May 31, 2013 North Jersey Federal Credit Union hosted a GSNNJ Alumnae Association networking breakfast at their headquarters in Totowa. Lourdes Cortez, president and CEO of North Jersey Federal Credit Union, and Betty Garger, president and CEO of GSNNJ, gave remarks about their experience in Girl Scouting. Garger explained the impact of Girl Scouting and shared her hopes and dreams for GSNNJ.

On May 9, 2013 GSNNJ hosted another Alumnae Association networking event at the Riverdale Service Center. This event featured Dr. Jennifer Ashton, MD, Ob-GYN, ABC News Senior Medical Contributor, Women's Health Expert, author of Your Body Beautiful and The Body Scoop for Girls, tri-athlete, hockey fan, 2007 Woman of Achievement and mother. Ashton spoke about her life and the vital importance of being present in the moment and giving 110% to everything you do. On March 28, 2013, GSNNJ hosted an Alumnae Association event at the Riverdale Service Center with featured speaker New Jersey State Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi. Schepisi spoke about balancing her family life, career and public service, and the sacrifices and mistakes along the way that have shaped who she is. Schepisi is the New Jersey Assemblywoman for the 39th District, private practice attorney, public defender, community leader, lifelong resident of Bergen County and mother. She was also a 2009 Women of Achievement honoree with Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey.

On September 27, 2012, GSNNJ hosted the inaugural event for the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey Alumnae Association at the North Jersey Country Club in Wayne. The event introduced guests to Girl Scouts’ ToGetHerThere campaign, the largest, boldest advocacy and fundraising campaign for girls and women in the nation’s history. GSNNJ Board Chair, Josephine Hernandez and President and CEO, Helen Wronski spoke about the campaign, the Alumnae Association, and the importance of providing girls with all the resources they need to reach their full leadership potential.
