The 2011 Girl Scout National Council Session/52nd Convention – November 10-13, 2011 in Houston, Texas - was an historic event. Over the course of four days, a transformed and vibrant Girl Scout Movement took the national stage as it launched a year-long celebration to mark our 100th Anniversary. In addition to conducting the business of the Movement, GSUSA offered exciting new educational opportunities and conducted a groundbreaking series of strategic conversations about the future.
National Girl Scout Leadership Institute (GSLI): Leadership and Innovation…the Next 100 Years
On November 10-13, 2011, more than 1,200 girls from across the nation gathered for the 2011 National Girl Scout Leadership Institute (GSLI): Leadership and Innovation…the Next 100 Years. GSLI is offered to girls 13 and older as an integrated track within the National Convention. GSLI participants are included in the National Convention Opening Ceremony as well as other scheduled events.
