GSNNJ's Lakedale Service Unit recently held a Girl Scout Cookie Rally to kick off the 2019 Cookie Program. Girl Scout Junior Troops conducted nine learning stations for their sister Girl Scout Daisy and Brownie troops to teach them some of the five skills needed for a successful sales year. The girls are taking initial orders for Girl Scout Cookies through Feb. 3. Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, girls not only discover their inner leadership potential, but also use their earnings to power amazing experiences for themselves and their troop, including travel, outdoor adventure, and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programming. Many girls put their money toward impactful community projects. And, girls who participate in the program learn five crucial skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics.
