Lake Rickabear Fun in the Sun
| 1-7 | Lake Rickabear is the place to be for an
awesome week of outdoor adventure! Cool off in the lake each
day (weather permitting) during a swim lesson and free swim.
You’ll work on Girl Scout badges, create masterpieces at arts
and crafts, and explore our wooded property with the camp
naturalist. Our Low Ropes Challenge Course is the perfect
place to make new friends, strengthen your self-esteem, and
practice teamwork. If you are in second grade or higher, you
can try your hand at archery. If you’re a fourth grader or
above, you can take a ride on the zip line. Other popular
activities that you might participate in include singing camp
songs, playing GaGa, tie dyeing, building sand castles, and
more! Weekly themes, which are announced the first day of each
week, make each session unique. | $350 |
Pony Pros | 1-3 | Pony Pros is the perfect introduction to the
world of horses. You will spend 1.5 hours at the horse corral
each day (weather permitting, Tuesday through Friday),
including a 15-minute riding lesson. You'll also learn about
grooming, leading, and basic pony care through hands-on
rotational stations. During the rest of the week, you’ll have
a traditional camp experience where you’ll do arts and crafts,
visit our camp naturalist, work on your team work at our
challenge course, and swim in our beautiful lake. |

Equestrian Adventures |
4-5 | As an Equestrian Adventures camper, you will
spend two hours at the horse corral each day (weather
permitting, Tuesday through Friday, including a daily
20-minute riding lesson. You'll also learn about grooming,
tacking, barn management, and careers in the industry as you
earn the Girl Scout Junior Horseback Riding badge. During the
rest of your week, you will swim each day and visit each of
the camp specialty areas once---archery, challenge course,
arts, and crafts, and nature. | $525 |
Outdoor Artist | 8-12 | This week, you can gain a deeper appreciation
of the beauty of Lake Rickabear as you earn your Girl Scout
Outdoor Art badge. You’ll learn to see nature through an
artist’s eye as you find ways to express yourself through
photography, music, and more. As a special treat, you’ll spend
two hours studying, sketching, and watercolor painting “en
plein air” with a trained artist. And of course you’ll enjoy
all the summer camp fun that Lake Rickabear has to offer-
archery, zip line, boating, daily swimming, friendship, and

Fun in the Sun PLUS a Painting
Class | 6-7 | As a Plus camper, you will enjoy all
that Fun in the Sun has to offer PLUS you’ll get to paint a
beautiful natural scene on canvas. You can reveal your inner
Van Gough as a professional artist teaches you brush strokes
and color mixing techniques. | $375 |
CIT Fast Track | 10 *Must be 15 years old by
7/5/21 | If you are
ready to step out of the camper role and begin your journey
toward being a camp counselor, join us for this three week
leadership training program for girls entering grade 10 (and
who are 15 yrs. old as of 7/5/21). During the first week, you
will develop skills needed to mentor younger girls and
understand their needs in a camp setting. The second week you
will use your newly acquired skills under the guidance of camp
counselors in the units. The third week you will learn what
goes on behind the scenes that allows camp to run safely and
efficiently. Upon completion of the program, you are
encouraged to volunteer for one or more weeks during the
remainder of the camp season (you can let us know during the
program what weeks you would like to return to volunteer).
Receive an exclusive CIT shirt to tie dye and at the end of
the three week session, you will earn a certificate and your
CIT and CIT II pin. | $600 |
