Earn your Cybersecurity Investigator Badge as you work to uncover information and use clues to figure out someone’s identity. Learn how to be safer in cyberspace by testing your powers of observation and creating secret codes.
Design your own digital game as you learn the process that game developers go through, while earning your Digital Game Design Badge. You’ll learn to plan, develop, and iterate a game of your own.
Explore the world of transportation, mobility, and vehicle design, as you learn the important parts of vehicles, special features, and why we use vehicles for different purposes. You’ll earn your Automotive Design Badge as you challenge your design skills choosing criteria and sketching and sculpting a model of a vehicle that could help people.
Design your own digital game as you learn the process that game developers go through, while earning your Digital Game Design Badge. You’ll learn to plan, create, build, iterate, test, and improve a game of your own.
Earn your Coding Basics Badge and become more confident with coding as you learn to create algorithms, loops, and dance routines during this coding basics workshop. As you explore a fun graphical virtual scavenger hunt, you’ll learn to make your own set of commands, as well as use loops to improve algorithms and events to make things happen.
Explore how computer scientists develop apps by decomposing a problem to break it into smaller parts and earn your App Development Badge. You’ll design app screens, add algorithms and events to show how users interact with the app, and share your app idea with others for user feedback.
Sharpen your analytical skills when you learn about app development and earn your App Development Badge. You’ll explore user-centered designs and brainstorm apps that solve problems. Then, test your creativity by thinking about a problem you would love to solve in the world, and design an app prototype for it.
Become more confident with coding as you learn algorithms and loops and play a game with conditionals, while earning your Coding Basics Badge. You’ll discover how to create your own set of commands as you develop dances for virtual animals during this coding workshop.
Explore automotive design and the future of transportation and mobility while you earn your Automotive Design Badge. In this workshop, you’ll get to design a new vehicle as you learn the importance of including market research, safety, and sustainability in your designs. Plus, you’ll learn the Design Thinking Process and learn how to examine mobility across time, conduct automotive market research, determine your vehicle's design criteria, sketch a vehicle to meet your criteria, and sculpt and share your vehicle design.
Discover how an app might help you build a healthy habit when you explore the science of app development and earn your App Development Badge. You’ll brainstorm ideas for a new app. Then, you’ll design an app prototype by collecting and visualizing your personal healthy habit data, creating a personal data collection plan, correlating your data, developing a prototype, and writing an array (a collection of codes) to store your personal data.
Explore how computer programmers solve problems and discover how to think like one when you learn what defines a computer and how they work. You’ll have the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for the Take Action Project portion of your Think Like a Programmer Journey and earn the badge.
Note: The Take Action portion of this Journey is not included in
the
program. This program requires two sessions of 2 hours
each to
complete the badge. Girls must attend both
sessions to earn the badge.
