From kindergarten through high school, Girl Scouts is where she’ll explore her interests, build real-life skills, and grow her confidence alongside friends who cheer her on every step of the way.
New to Girl Scouts? When you sign up for the first time, you will have two options to unlock a world full of adventures, friendships, and discoveries.
Current Membership through September 30, 2026.
Anyone new to Girl Scouts can join now for $80 for girls and
$30 for adults. This is a great option if you want to jump in right
away and enjoy the rest of the current membership year.*
Extended Year Membership through September 30, 2027.
For a limited time, families who are new to Girl Scouts can
join for $112 for girls and $42 for adults. This option lets you start
early this spring and includes the entire next Girl Scout year.
No matter which route you take, Girl Scout fun awaits. Choose the one that works for you!

Regular membership for the 2026-2027 Membership Year
Annual Girl Scout Membership Fee: $80 for Girls, $30 for Adults*
(for Girl Scout Year starting Oct. 1, 2026 through Sept. 30, 2027)
Registration for this membership year opens on August 1, 2026.
* The annual Girl Scout membership is valid from October 1 through September 30 of the following year. Girl Scout memberships must be renewed annually.
Get Ready With Girl Scouts 
Is your child starting kindergarten or first grade this fall?
Kick off her summer adventure with Get Ready with Girl Scouts™, a school readiness program designed just for new members – perfect for making friends and beginning her Girl Scout journey!
When she joins, she’ll enjoy:
- Three activity books, aligned to school readiness standards and filled with fun summer activities! Available in both English and bilingual (Spanish), the activity books will be shipped directly to her.
- E-newsletters with more activities for the whole family, including tips and resources for caregivers.
- A surprise gift just to welcome her to Girl Scouts!
- Access to everything Girl Scouts offers.
- All while becoming part of an amazing community of friends.
When you join Girl Scouts between April 1 and June 15, you’ll receive an invitation to Let’s Go Outside! —a lively, interactive online experience hosted by the Smithsonian’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute. During this special event, you’ll meet amazing animals up close, get your questions answered by zoo experts, and enjoy a behind‑the‑scenes adventure.
Space is limited and available on a first‑come, first‑served basis, so signing up early gives you the best chance to join the fun.

Financial assistance is available for Girl Scout membership fees, uniform supplies, program activities, and summer camp for GSNNJ Members Only.
Financial Assistance Requests for Memberships are accepted year-round and can be applied for at the time of registration (during registration checkout, you will have the option to request financial assistance using the drop down menu). Financial Assistance Request for Program Activities
Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is committed to making sure more girls benefit from the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and offers household income-based sliding scale financial assistance for summer day camp. Financial Assistance may be granted for all camp programs. A committee of staff and volunteers will review requests and determine awards on a rolling basis starting February 1 and continuing through May 15. Funds are limited, so apply early.
How to apply for Financial Assistance for Summer Camp:
First enroll your camper(s) and pay your deposit(s), then simply fill out the Financial Assistance Form for Summer Camp requesting a Campership and submit it for review. A $50.00 deposit per camp session is required but can be refunded if sufficient financial assistance is not available.
