These Girl Scouts were part of the 2022-2023 GSNNJ Media Girls Team. They represented our council at events and in interviews, and provide communications support in sharing our stories with the media throughout the year.
GSNNJ Girl Scouts who exemplify courage, confidence, and character are invited to join our Media Girls Team. Open to Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors, these leaders will be the official girl faces and voices of our council. Media Girls receive special media training to be able to report on council and community events and share our stories with the Girl Scout community and the world.
Media Girls are called upon to:
Interview with the media and attend press events.
Volunteer at Girl Scout booths at public events.
Participate in focus groups.
Write articles and shoot photos/videos.
Girl Scout Daisies & Brownies: Get started on your Girl Scout media experience by being available to attend official Girl Scout ceremonies, events, and media appearances as a Media Sprout alongside your Media Girl teammates. A parent or guardian should help you fill out an application.
Note: each Media Girl must have a parent or responsible adult who is a Girl Scout member available to participate with them and commit to helping to:
