Service Unit Managers & Troop Leaders: Join us for our first ever GSNNJ Council-Con: Volunteer Engagement Day on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Lake Rickabear Camp in Kinnelon and rally with your fellow leaders to celebrate your Girl Scout spirit! Connect with other volunteers who share your passion for Girl Scouting, meet the council staff, and explore our beautiful camp property. You won’t want to miss this incredibly fun and informative day designed to:

Elevate: participate in our Girl Scout investiture and rededication ceremony and make SWAPS. Grab a swag bag and get “pumped” for your upcoming year!
Connect: take advantage of this networking opportunity and meet fellow Girl Scout leaders by Girl Scout level, as well as GSNNJ staff members. Share your experiences and learn helpful tips.
Educate: learn more about Troop Leader training opportunities, program activities, and Girl Scout procedures such as flag ceremonies, bridging, and uniform insignia placement. Take a tour and discover the magic of summer camp.
Engage & Celebrate: try meditation on the beach, participate in Zumba, ride the zipline, win door prizes, explore camp, make S’mores, and more.

NOTE: The Trading Post at Lake Rickabear Camp will be open for shopping during GSNNJ Council-Con and will close at 4:00 p.m.

Hike to Zipline (Meet at the Firepit near Beach Lodge)
Enjoy a hike and try the zipline.

Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Jessica Hoffman will lead two Zumba sessions.

Mindfulness Session (Beach)
Relax with volunteer Kathleen Leary, who will lead two Mindfulness Sessions.

Encampments (Second Green/White Striped Tent on the Beach)
Learn about planning and hosting an encampment with Volunteer Molly Hubbard, who will lead two informational sessions.
