Empower the next generation of changemakers at our International Day of the Girl Event on Sunday, October 11th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Stanhope Public School! Girl Scouts will explore women and girls worldwide who have helped shape change while also discovering their own passions and creating actionable plans to speak out and solve issues. Girl Scouts will create their own vision boards - we will provide plenty of materials and craft supplies, but feel free to bring your own photos to use too. We will also be talking about how you can make the difference through your Highest Awards and sharing more about each of the Highest Award processes. We'll discuss the role of the Girl Scout Leadership Awards and explore how to plan a take-action project for achieving this honor. As we review the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award guide and materials, we'll discuss the approval process for projects and brainstorm possible issues to address in your community to make the world a better place. Snacks will be provided and all Girl Scouts will receive an International Day of the Girl fun patch. Please adhere to all safety ratios. Financial assistance is available upon request.
As part of this event, we are hosting a Personal Care item collection drive, so please bring an item that will be donated to Project Self-Sufficiency: Nourish to Flourish Pantry. https://www.projectselfsufficiency.org/_files/ugd/830a97_1eb300e95427413bb33be3017ea4b42f.pdf
