GSNNJ offers three workshops to make the Girl Scout Gold Award process easy to follow and accessible to all girls and adults. All workshops are free.
Gold Award Workshop (Required, for girls and adults): The Gold Award Workshop is open to all girls, parents, and advisors, who are interested in learning more about this prestigious award. Requirements and policies will be reviewed, step by step, with plenty of time for questions. This workshops is mandatory for all girls who wish to propose a Take Action project to the Gold Award Advisory Committee. Girls should come prepared to take notes. Gold Award Take Action Project Roundtable (for girls and adults): This optional workshop is for girls who are experiencing difficulty in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award. During this brainstorming session, we will help you sort out your thoughts and choose an issue to explore, helping you move forward in planning out your Take Action Project. In order to participate, girls must have completed their Girl Scout Journey step and have begun exploring issues of interest. Gold Award Ceremony Workshop (for girls and adults): Planning a Girl Scout Gold Award ceremony and not quite sure what to do? We will take you step by step through the process, introducing you to the elements of a basic ceremony and a few special touches to make this a memorable experience for the girls.
