Our Council | Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey

Your Time to Shine!

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is a high-capacity council with a strong presence in the communities of Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and northern Warren Counties. We bring the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to more than 18,500 girls and nearly 10,200 adult members.

Vision Statement

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey will be recognized as the premier leadership development program for girls that nurtures, inspires, and helps girls empower themselves.

Our Leadership Message

To maintain our role as the premier leadership experience for girls in Northern New Jersey, GSNNJ is focusing our resources on the challenges we face in engaging past, present, and future Girl Scouts in becoming inspiring, visionary leaders in the community.

Our Winning Proposition

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey will engage girls in accessible experiences that girls can call their own. We will rapidly assess girls’ satisfaction and adapt as needed.

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey Strategic Priorities

  • Building Capacity
  • Achieving Financial Stability
  • Improving Program Delivery

To grow membership in grades K-5, placing emphasis on populations that are under-represented, strengthen volunteer support, and continue to serve middle and high school girls with targeted program activities.
