At Lake Rickabear Camp in Kinnelon, New Jersey, our 332 acres include a beautiful 40-acre, spring-fed lake, perfect for pedal boating, paddle boarding, and row boating. A long stretch of soft, sandy beach lines our swimming area. Our camp also has an archery range, low ropes challenge course, zip line, pickleball courts, basketball, a junior scooter track, gaga pit, beach volleyball, and more.
Lake Rickabear's camping facilities include all-season lodges, yurts, platform tents, and pitch-your-own-tent campsites. A spacious pavilion, campfire amphitheater, and lakeside picnic grove provide lots of opportunity for outdoor fun.

We offer a variety of outdoor spaces for activities, eating, and ceremonies. We recommend reserving to ensure that it will not be used by other troops.
Camp Fire Amphitheater FREE Max Capacity: 200 |
Reserve the amphitheater for any encampments or service unit events. Includes a large fire pit and benches. If interested, a Campfire Facilitator can be hired (see activities). |
Chipmunk Deck FREE Max Capacity: 40 |
Reserve the Chipmunk Deck for an encampment or a day use event. Located near the beginning of the picnic area. Electricity and water are available. |
Shuffleboard Pavilion FREE Max Capacity: 100 |
60’ x 60’ covered pavilion - 60' x 60' near parking lot. Built-in benches on two sides. Lighting and electricity. Flagpole nearby. |

Activities
All activities are pending a facilitator being secured for the requested date/time.
Archery $10 per girl Minimum: 8 Maximum: 16 |
Available weekends are mid-April to June to mid-November. Participants must be in 2nd grade or older. One-hour sessions offered from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Saturdays, and 9:30 am to 1:30 pm on Sundays. Activity pricing and timing are the same for Troop Rentals and Service Unit Encampments. |
Low Ropes Challenge Course with Ziplining $10 per girl Minimum: 8 |
Available weekends are mid-April to June to mid-November. For Girl Scout Brownies-Ambassadors. Must be in 4th grade or older to participate in zip line. Girl Scout Daisies can register and participate in elements of the Low Ropes Challenge Course that are appropriate for their age/size/level (at the discretion of the facilitator). One-hour sessions offered from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Saturdays, and 9:30 am to 1:30 pm on Sundays. Activity pricing and timing are the same for Troop Rentals and Service Unit Encampments. |

Available weekends are mid-April to June to mid-November. Pickleball is an unfacilitated activity. Equipment must be signed-out with the Site Manager. One-hour slots are offered from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturdays, and 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sundays. Activity pricing and timing are the same for Troop Rentals and Service Unit Encampments. |

Want to spend time at Lake Rickabear Camp without reserving a scheduled activity or lodging? This option allows you to spend time on the camp property and take advantage of a variety of outdoor fun at your leisure. This includes (but not limited to) having a picnic, working on a craft or badge, hiking, gaga pit, beach volleyball, scooters, and basketball. |

How to Make Reservations
- Reserving space at Lake Rickabear Camp - whether for camp activities, overnight camping, or to spend time at camp - is done online. Click the Book Now button below to get started.
- After reviewing the facility and activity options and prices, choose "Yes" to "Are you interested in booking a facility rental package?" from the drop-down menu. Select the lodgings and camp activities you are interested in booking.
- Staff will review requests in the order in which they are received. If the requested date is available, a contract will be forwarded as soon as possible for your approval, or a new date will be offered if the original date is not available or already booked. Dates are only confirmed once the contract is approved, and a deposit has been made.
- Please read your package agreement carefully as it contains important information as well as the refund policy.
