Volunteer with Girl Scouts and help girls find what’s within.

Be part of the moments that spark confidence, courage, and joy—sign up and make a difference today!

Behind every girl who discovers her strength is a volunteer who shows up, cheers her on, and believes in her. You already have what it takes to inspire girls to explore, grow, and lead. Along the way, you’ll build your own confidence, strengthen your leadership skills, and connect with a supportive community that shares your passion.

  • Volunteer as a troop leader: Guide a group of Girl Scouts by creating a fun, safe space. We’ll help you get started with easy-to-use tools like the Girl Scout Experience Box and ready-made Troop Year Plans so you can focus on fun, growth, and connection.

  • Be a supportive adult volunteer: Help girls thrive by assisting with meetings, activities, or special events, no matter your schedule or experience.

  • Get involved on your terms. Choose a role that fits your time and interests—from leading a troop to lending a hand behind the scenes.

No previous experience is required to support girls as they build confidence, skills, and lifelong friendships through the Girl Scout experience. Your local Girl Scout Council can help get you started.

Why Volunteer toggle arrow

As a Girl Scout Volunteer, you'll prepare your girl and others for a lifetime of leadership, and be the mentor they need.

Check out the many different ways to volunteer with us.

You’ll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they’re capable of more than they ever imagined. They’ll each find their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader)™ after all!

You’ll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, while helping them develop essential life skills and build courage, confidence, and character that will last a lifetime. Imagine the excitement, the impact, the memories made—those are the moments you’ll share at Girl Scouts.

Girl Scout volunteers transform lives.

And, the benefits of volunteering with Girl Scouts go both ways. As a volunteer, you’ll:

  • Unleash the confidence that comes with being a role model
  • Discover your leadership style as your girls discover theirs
  • Network and meet new people in your community
  • Build new skills and have fun as you take on exciting activities with your girls

There’s nothing like helping girls find their voices and use them to change the world. Sign up to become a Girl Scout volunteer today. Your life will never be the same.

Ways to Volunteer toggle arrow

Be the troop leader that supports her every week—the one that watches her smile get bigger as she grows more confident. Mentor a Girl Scout Cookie Professional during cookie season so she can earn enough to reach the goals she and her troop set. Or work with other adults to provide the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes it possible for her to make amazing new memories at Girl Scouts.

Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks, or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun.
