At Jockey Hollow Camp in Mendham, New Jersey, there are 212 pristine acres to explore and enjoy. Adventurous hiking trails and access to the beautiful surrounding waters are ideal for stream exploration. The fun is never-ending with a large swimming pool, low-ropes challenge course, zip line, equestrian center, archery range, playing field, gaga pit, and 9 square in the air!

Six luxurious cabins and activity shelters, plus a large troop house and spacious pavilion, allow the fun to continue no matter the weather. All cabins have kitchens and bathrooms for overnight experiences.

Session 1 (July 5-7)
Program Description

Jockey Hollow Summer Fun Sampler

Session 1

Gr 1-9

Fee: $280

Join us for a jam-packed week of exciting activities! Cool off in our beautiful pool each day (weather permitting) during your free swim period. Learn crazy camp songs, play field games, and get creative during Arts & Crafts. Strengthen your self-esteem and practice teamwork at the Low Ropes Challenge Course. Explore the Jockey Hollow forest with our Nature Specialist and work on Girl Scout badges. If you are in Grade 2 or higher, you can try your hand at Archery. If you’re in Grade 4 or higher, you can take a ride on the zip line. Other Jockey Hollow Summer Fun activities may include playing GaGa (a form of dodgeball), hiking the trails, exploring streams, playing a game of 9 Square in the Air, and so much more. Weekly theme activities make each session unique. Themes are announced on the first day of each session. End the week at Friday Fest, which will include a theme-based activity. Campers are grouped in units of 15-20 girls according to grade levels. New fun and friendships await you at camp this summer.

Giddy up! Hang out at the horse corral for 1 1/2 hours each day (weather permitting) learning horsemanship basics from trained professionals in a safe, non-threatening environment. This hands-on program will teach you about grooming, leading, and basic care of your pony. Mount up for basic riding in the ring or hand-walking on trails (weather permitting). Spend the remainder of each day participating in some of the Jockey Hollow Summer Fun session activities. 

Jockey Hollow Horsemanship Sampler

Discover and foster your love for horses at Jockey Hollow’s corral this summer. Spend 2 fun-filled hours a day (weather permitting) at the corral grooming, tacking, and learning trail etiquette. Saddle up for a daily 20–30-minute riding session or enjoy a trail ride through our majestic woodlands (weather permitting). Fill the remainder of each day participating in some of the Jockey Hollow Summer Fun session activities.

New York City Food Fest

Do you enjoying eating while traveling around New York City? Join us for this food tour around NYC without even leaving camp! Make and sample food from Chinatown, Little Italy, Brooklyn and the Upper East Side.

Room Decor & More

Gr 6-9

Time to add some pizzazz to your bedroom!  Design a tie dye pillow case, create an abstract piece of art for your bedroom wall, make a coaster for your drink to sit on for your night table and create other crafts that will brighten up your room!

Counselor in Training 1 (CIT 1)

(week 1 of 2)

Gr 9-10, (Must be 14yrs. Old as of 7/5/23)

Fee: $305

Get ready to begin your journey toward being a camp counselor! Girls entering Grades 9 and 10 (and who are age 14 as of 7/5/23) can register for this two-week leadership training program. During the first week, you’ll develop the skills needed to mentor younger girls and understand their needs in a camp setting. In the second week, you’ll use your newly acquired skills working with units under the guidance of camp counselors. Upon successful completion of this program, you’ll earn your CIT pin and have the option to volunteer for one or more weeks during the remainder of the camp season. Plus, you’ll receive an exclusive CIT shirt to tie dye. To participate in this program you must register for both Sessions 2 & 3. 

Counselor in Training 2 (CIT 2)

(week 1 of 2)

Gr 10-11, (pre-requisite-completion of CIT1 during summer 2022)

Fee: $305

If you’ve already completed the Counselor in Training program, you can continue to build camp counselor skills during this two-week session. During the first week, learn what goes on behind the scenes to enable a camp to run safely and efficiently. Focus on conflict management, leadership skills, unit planning and more during this leadership development experience. In the second week, you’ll use your newly acquired skills working with units under the guidance of camp counselors. Upon successful completion of this program, you will earn your CIT II pin and have the option to volunteer for one or more weeks during the remainder of camp. Creative Culinary Challenge

Gr 6-9

Fee: $505

Learn a different style of outdoor cooking each day!  Use equipment such as pie irons, a Dutch Oven, a box oven and more.  Prepare, cook and taste different breakfast, lunch and dinner meals over the open fire (weather permitting).  End the session with a team culinary challenge using a basket of mystery items to show off your newly acquired cooking skills.

Counselor in

The Magical World of Wizardry

Back by popular demand, this camp session will transport you to a world of wizardry. Attend a potions and herbology class, play a round of a magical game, and even make and enjoy a glass of a buttery beverage.
