Discover how maple syrup is made and experience the maple sugaring process with all your senses during a Maple Sugaring session at Lake Rickabear Camp in Kinnelon. Maple sugaring is the traditional process of collecting sap from maple trees and boiling it to produce maple syrup. Bring a troop or your family for a fun and educational day outdoors. Our Hot Chocolate Bar will be available to warm everyone up! This event is open to Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scout family members, and children under age 3 attend for free. Each registered Girl Scout will receive a fun patch.

Note: This is not a drop-off event - each Girl Scout must attend with a troop leader or adult. The event will be held rain or shine. Girl Scout Cadettes and older are welcome to volunteer to assist the program facilitators. Financial assistance is available upon request.
