Learn to stretch and flow in our Mind Over Mat Body Appreciation Yoga event for Girl Scouts of all levels at Lake Rickabear Camp. We'll explore mindfulness practices designed to boost your confidence, including breathwork and meditation. And, we'll learn a few yoga poses, while we discuss what it means to be body positive. Girl Scouts will take steps towards earning the new Girl Scout Body Appreciation Badges for their respective levels (Daisy Fun with Movement; Brownie Me Time; Junior Uniquely Us; Cadette Outside the Mirror; Senior Mind, Body, and Me; and Ambassador Cheers to Every Body). Yoga sessions will be held outside, weather permitting. No previous yoga experience is required. Bring a mat or a towel and wear comfortable clothing. All badges are available for purchase at our council shops. Financial assistance available upon request.
