Travel with us to the United Nations in New York City and explore how its member organizations work to protect and celebrate human rights, during our United Nations' Focus on Women Tour on March 13, 2026. You'll discover the vital contributions women have made to the UN's efforts in peace and security, human rights, and global development. We'll tour the Security Council Chamber, the Economic and Social Council Chamber, and the General Assembly Hall (meeting schedule permitting). After the tour, we'll head by bus to Vanderbilt Market, a vibrant culinary spot in the iconic Helmsley Building on 45th Street, where 15 diverse food vendor options are located. This event is open to Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and Adults. All participants will receive a Model Citizen fun patch. Transportation by coach bus is included (pick-up locations: Rockaway Mall at 1:00 PM and the Lyndhurst Stop & Shop at 1:30 PM). Plan to return home between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Financial assistance is available upon request.
