Contest Guidelines
- Design Theme: Create a patch that represents what Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey means to you.
- Text Requirement: The design must include the words “Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey.”
- Size: The final patch will be no larger than 3 inches x 3 inches. Please consider this when creating your design. Any shape is fine and you may submit any size design.
- Original Artwork: All submissions must be original artwork created by the Girl Scout submitting the design. (No AI / other artist please)
- Format: Designs may be hand-drawn or digital. Please ensure the design is clear and easy to reproduce as a patch.
- Colors: Feel free to use multiple colors, but keep in mind the final patch may require adjustments for production.
Submission Details
- Deadline: All entries must be submitted by March 29
- Submissions should be uploaded via our Competition JotForm using this link: Council Patch Design Submission
Judging & Voting
- A panel of GSNNJ staff members will select the top 5 designs.
- The top 5 finalists will be shared on GSNNJ social media for community voting April 1 – 3, 2026.
Prizes
The five finalists will be invited to attend a lunch at the DreamLab with our President and CEO, Sandra Kenoff, and will receive a non-transferable gift certificate to choose a retail item, program or camp credit of their choice. The winner will be notified by Friday, April 10.
- Winner - $150
- Second and Third place - $100 (each)
- Two runners up - $50 (each)
- The winning design turned into the official Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey Council Patch
Final Design Note
The winning patch may be modified by GSNNJ to ensure proper production as an embroidered patch.
