A Note to Council Delegate Candidates
Dear Members,
Upon re-examination and further investigation of new processes regarding appointing Council Delegates, we now have a better understanding of the timing and processing and want to clarify this for you.
Unfortunately, we misinterpreted the proposal at the 2023 National Council Session to amend the timing of delegate allotment and only recently learned that it does not impact the election of delegates timeline as originally thought. It only changes the timing of when Girl Scouts of the USA would confirm to our council how many delegates our council will be allowed for the upcoming session.
With that in mind, we are no longer accepting applications currently for Council Delegates for the 2026 National Council Session. The good news is that we created some early awareness of the opportunity, and we will hold the applications we have already received for review with our Board Development Committee next year. We regret any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused those who have already applied.
